Canvas
An infinite spatial surface for a project's material. The canvas is where research, files, notes, and generated work sit together and where the structure of a project becomes visible.
Blocks
Everything on the canvas is a block: a note, a research finding, an image, an uploaded file, a generated draft. Blocks are permanent and addressable. Nothing is transient the way a chat message is.
Position carries meaning
Where you put something matters. Grouping related blocks is not tidying — it is how the shape of the work emerges, and it is far easier to recall than a folder path. People remember where they put a thing long after they have forgotten what they called it.
Connections
Wiring two blocks together is a real relationship, not an annotation. Context follows the lines: a block connected to three sources carries those sources when you use it in a generation.
Connect deliberately. A canvas where everything is joined to everything tells a model no more than a canvas with no connections at all.
Working at scale
- Group clusters that belong together, and leave space between clusters.
- Keep a corner for unsorted material rather than forcing it into a group early.
- Use the board view when a project shifts from gathering to doing.
